Step at a time

Here a couple of the students put some stain on the bathhouse. It should help protect the wood
Staining the bathhouse
Yesterday they stained the back of the structure. It should help protect the wood from the hot summer sun.

Here Emmit is drilling a 6' hole for a new zip line. Poles are on order and might be here on Friday.

We have an 18' auger with an extension we add. Nice little diesel  tool that has  several attachments.

Fixing up the camp

After the students help with a daily vacation bible school program at several of the churches in King City a few of them come back to camp to work.

Clearing dirt at the caretakers unit
The hillside was originally within a foot of the wall. Here they are using a digging bar and shovels to cut back the hill. They were diligent workers. Some stain has been added to the bathhouse. New faucets at each basin. All done with adult leaders and student workers. They also cut a new trail to a rock water slide in the creek. A place I have only seen from the 4 wheel drive road into the canyon.

This was taken Sunday afternoon at Victory circle. The boys tents are in the background
Dale speaking at Victory circle
Tonight the speakers split up the group with the girls going to the chapel and the boys at Victory circle. Camp is going very well.

Wet day, visitors at 5PM

These guys came across the front to the house, down the ridge behind Aquila, then turned  around and came back up.
Just passing through
Lite rain all day, got another 1/4" and the wind is picking up. 1/2' since last night.

Play area work in progress

Here we have the pad started , just needs another 3 hours or so to get it level. It is adobe soil so the rain makes it gummy and hard to work
Rain day, not tractor work to day

This is one of the projects PBCC, my home church, hopes to work on when the come on the last week of March. Got a 1/4" overnight but the radar shows more coming in today.
