Making a deck

The lumber rolled in about 10 AM .

This was a big heavy load.The unwrapping an sorting started quickly

This was about 5 PM. They worked till about 6:30. We had Salmon and spinach salad for dinner. Big day tomorrow with deck work and the students coming in.

Digging for the piers

 Yesterday we managed to spot all fifty pier locations with nails. Today was a digging day. 25 piers are dug, cleaned out and have 4" of rock on the bottom to help them drain.That takes care of the first yurt

Of the second set,we have 4 holes to auger and the other 21 need cleaning out just yet. The good news is the framers cannot catch us. Scott comes in tomorrow so we have a new strong back to help. We did have more trouble on the second set of holes. There are more football size rocks as we work our way west. We intend for them to be 36" deep. For a few it is not possible.

Lumber coming in tomorrow, framers as well. The PBCC and 80 high school students on Saturday.Big week ahead.
